Dissolved view of the City of Palmdale Zoning Plan. In this dataset, the boundaries for each zoning designation extend to either a street centerline, the city boundary, or another zoning polygon. The dataset also includes polygons representing prezoned areas (those areas not within the city boundary but within the sphere of influence which have been given a pre-zone designation in case they are annexed in the future). The zoning polygons fill the entire city boundary, and when the prezones are included, fill the entire sphere of influence. The dataset was created using the zoning_overlays shapefile as a base and also the Planning Department's "blue line" zoning map as a secondary reference. |
