Palmdale GIS Section 01/01/2008 10:00 am cop_elem_middle_school_districts vector digital data None supplied. withheld cop_elem_middle_school_districts Polygon shapefile representing the hotels and motels located within the City of Palmdale. The polygon boundary is identical to the boundary of the hotel/motel's parcel (parcel fabric source is the Los Angeles County Office of the Assessor, boundary information dated 7/18/2008). Attribute data attached to each hotel/motel feature includes hotel name, address, phone number, number of rooms, amenities, and contruction status. Most attribute data acquired from a report generated by LicenseTrack, the Planning Department's business license tracking software, where business type 8001 (hotels/motels) was the search criteria. Amenities information acquired visual inspection of the aerial imagery taken of that parcel (LAR-IAC1, Dec/Jan 2006). Additional information acquired from the City of Palmdale website, the City of Palmdale Chamber of Commerce website, and the websites of the hotels themselves. To identify and map the location of all hotels/motels within the City of Palmdale and catalog their size and amenities. The shapefile is also a MapGuide layer.
